Techni-Tacot is also all about the creation of custom technology projects, such as ones related to the Simca Versailles (whose gear box was reconfigured and coupled with an overdrive, without irreversible modifications) using only Simca parts.

The total remanufacture of drive-train mechanisms :

Custom Work :

  • Complete reconditioning of any engine, gear box, or universal joint.

  • We free-up frozen cylinders, rework cylinder heads, do reboring, valve-grinding.

  • Valve jobs (replacement of the valve seats).

  • Metal work on "pre-war period", vehicles.

Current industrial techniques allow (more and more often), the reproduction  of certain parts. Techni-Tacot is at your service. We share our know-how and knowledge to respond to current or specific requests relating to popular vehicles, and the rarest. Techni-Tacot can execute specific remanufacturing jobs, such as:

  • Rebuilding of the rod assembly, by electrolosys.
  • Valve seat replacement.
  • Sale and manufacture of ball bearings,
  • Gear cutting, endless screw cutting.
  • Special heat treatments of steel, welding.
  • Balancing of the crankshaft and pistons.
  • Rework of the drum, plate, cylinder heads, block.
  • Rebuilding of timing chains.

So that any antique vehicle can run again !  consult with us.

Standard Maintenance :

Brakes / Clutch :

When one maintains a vehicle in top condition, it will prolong its lifespan. Your vehicle will then provide you with more pleasure.  You can then car-tour with confidence. We provide these standard maintenance services:

    • Drain and refill the cooling system, change filters.
    • Check and/or replace brakes and tires.
    • Adjust the carburation, and check the ignition systems.
    • Validate the battery, dynamo or alternator.

Old brakes can often be a source of difficulty. An owner must be able to count on the effectiveness and endurance of the braking systems -- so all-essential to safety... They must be maintained to perfection. It's now possible to improve braking performance by using modern linings (without asbestos).

The clutch and the main wheel transmit power (torque) from your engine to the drive train -- and must also be verified. Its balance and level orientation -- will offer more pleasant gear-changes (without jolts).
